This is your dashboard

This is your dashboard

The dashboard is the main screen of Text Radar. Here you can upload the documents you want to review, and discrepancies found will appear here.

Next, we explain how it is organized and what features you can find on it.

Top Bar

At the top of the screen, you will find:

  • Button with the tool logo: Redirects you to the main website page.
  • Edit button group:
    • Open (folder_open): Opens a window to select the documents you want to upload for review.
    • Save (save): Saves to your device the documents you're working on along with the discrepancy report.
    • Horizontal or Vertical View (splitscreen or view_column_2): Allows you to switch the document viewers layout between horizontal and vertical.
    • Single or Dual View (news or descriptiondescription): Allows you to switch between a single viewer or two viewers. In single viewer mode, you can show either document using the button located at the bottom of the viewer (file_copy).
    • Full Screen (fullscreen): Expands the view to fill the entire browser screen.
  • Area Expansion Buttons (last_page and first_page): Two buttons that fully expand the viewer area or hide it to show only the results section. Clicking them again reverts the view to its previous state.
  • User Button: Located on the right, it shows the initial of your registered email. Clicking it opens the navigation sidebar with access to all menu sections.

Main Workspace

The main area is divided into two large sections:

  • Viewers section (left):
    • It contains one or two viewers (depending on the selected option and screen size), which can be arranged vertically or horizontally.
    • It includes a navigation bar between the viewers (center or right side, depending on layout). This bar shows the location of the paragraphs with discrepancies found by the system during processing.
    • The header of each viewer displays the document name.
    • At the bottom of each viewer are pagination controls (keyboard_arrow_up and keyboard_arrow_down) and zoom controls (remove and add).
    • In the center of each viewer, there are:

      • A button and a drag-and-drop area to upload documents (upload).
      • An interactive area to paste or type text directly if you don't want to upload a file.
  • Section divider
    • You can click the divider and drag it left or right to adjust the section widths.
  • Results section (right):
    • Header with two tabs:

      • Detected discrepancies.
      • Processed discrepancies (checklist_rtl).
    • Text view toggle button: show with the document's original formatting (format_size) or in a standard, always legible format (format_clear).
    • Discrepancy filtering button by type, located on the right (filter_alt).
    • Body with discrepancy cards:

      • Each detected discrepancy is displayed.
      • The user can edit the involved paragraphs, apply changes, or discard results.
    • Footer with pagination component:

      • Indicates the total number of discrepancies found.
      • Shows which one is currently being processed.
      • Allows moving forward or backward in the discrepancy list (keyboard_arrow_up and keyboard_arrow_down).

Troubleshooting

The dashboard doesn't load correctly

  • Reload the page from the browser or log out and log back in.
  • Check your internet connection and make sure you're using a compatible browser.
  • If the problem persists, try clearing the browser cache (Ctrl+F5 on Windows/Linux, ⌘+R on Mac).

I can't upload documents from the viewers

  • Make sure you're in the dashboard and not in another section of the tool.
  • Verify that the document you're trying to upload is in a compatible format (e.g., .docx, .doc, .pdf, or .txt).
  • Try dragging the document directly onto the viewer if the button doesn't respond.

The top bar buttons don't work

  • Wait a few seconds after the initial load: the interface may take time to become fully active.
  • Hover over the button and check if an informational tooltip with the expected function appears.
  • If a button still doesn't respond, try using another browser or device.

I can't switch between viewers or one of them isn't visible

  • Check if you're in Single View mode (i.e., you clicked the draft button). In that case, use the button at the bottom of the viewer (file_copy) to switch between documents.
  • Try changing the viewer layout (click the Horizontal View button splitscreen or Vertical View button view_column_2) from the top bar.
  • Click on the section divider and drag it to check that you haven't accidentally hidden a viewer.

No discrepancies are shown in the results section

  • Make sure you've compared at least one document with itself or another document.
  • Verify that the analysis has finished and there are no loading errors.
  • Check the active tab in the results section: you may be viewing the Processed discrepancies tab (checklist_rtl) instead of Detected discrepancies.
